"The world is full of monsters. Some show their faces, while others hide in plain sight, waiting for their chance to take you alive."

SYNOPSIS

I’m a hunter,
destroying the evil that roams these streets.
That’s always been my focus.

Then I saw her.

My newest obsession.
My deadliest sin.

One look into her eyes, and I knew we were the same.

Hungry for blood.
For revenge.
Hiding behind our secrets.

She has her demons and I have mine. Our scars run so deep, no one knows how much we bleed except the two of us.

She doesn’t know that I’ve been watching her, waiting for my chance to possess her, body and soul. Until all she knows is me.

When I finally tell her who I am, there will be no escaping me.

Because Kayla Jenkins is mine.

MY THOUGHTS

"You are the light, Kayla Jenkins. All I see is darkness without you."

I'm a sucker for broken men who hate everyone except their woman and are willing to do anything for them. That kind of a relationship is so beautiful and I feel like it always creates such a strong bond between the couple.

Like right before I started reading this book, I was talking to my author friend Jawairia who is writing her new book about a broken man too. We were gushing about broken men and I asked her to read Archer's Voice by Mia Sheridan because it's my absolute favourite and I love Archer so much😩❤️. She then told me about the book she's currently working on. It's called The Royal Beast and it releases in June 2024. Go check her Instagram page out for more details about it and also check out her debut novel Days of Revenge (Review coming super soon) which is a Greek Mythology inspired dark romantasy. Her Instagram is @the.cosmic.author. She used Can and Demet from one of my favourite Turkish shows (review coming soon) as the characters of her book and I saw in on someone's page (who is another one of our crazy friend, you'll meet her super soon too) and reached out to her to tell her how I loved these two and now we talk about and obsess over random shit. I am so glad I reached out to her! She is super fun and crazy and I absolutely love her.

Anyway, back to the story, I will be very discrete about it because it has a lot of plot twists, surprises and suspense and I don't want to spoil anything for you guys. Honestly, this is my first series by Lilian and I think she's pretty great with this stuff and the plot and suspense that she creates is so good that you cannot even see it coming most of the time and it leaves you physically gasping because you did not even think about this stuff.

"Hearts are overrated and flowers die. But you are priceless."

Since I was talking about me loving books with broken men, this book is a bonus because both the MC's are broken here. I love how they just needed each other to survive and how obsessed they got with each other.

Though I'm praising the book, please read the trigger warnings because this book is dark and might trigger some of y'all.

Kayla falls in love with her masked stalker and as much as I loved reading the twisted shit and found what they did together okay because that was their escape together and made their bond stronger and got them even more closer to each other, it is just a story. It did not happen in real life so do not spread hate over it, if you cannot read it, simply just stop reading the book.

"Some broken things can't be fixed, no matter how badly you wish they could."

But I absolutely loved these two, they were both broken and understood each other, they looked past each other's flaws and scars and loved each other so much. They also ended up fixing each other. I loved the way Kayla tried to make him jealous so many times and it always worked but the punishment was always so good hehe. The spice between these two was great. Can we take a moment to appreciate how handsome our stalker looks on the cover?🤤

Also, he calls her little wolf😭❤️

Though, I loved these two, Sophia stole the show! She's adorable af and super mature for her age and I loved her bond with everyone.

I also NEED a best friend like Elsie. That girl took care of Kayla the whole time and even made sure she had her own bodyguard. She made Michael assign one for her. Like can you imagine how she made the head of the mafia do that for her friend? He's such a good husband though, he listened to her and also helped Kayla out when she called him, he was literally like her big brother at this point, protecting her and helping her out.

Also, the plot and suspense this time had me shook again! I definitely did not see any of this coming. I was just like, "huh? wtf just happened?" lol.

There's so much more that I wanna share but don't want to reveal anything to you, so go and give it a read if you haven't yet.

Anyway, I am so glad how everyone got there happy ending and just wish I could see more of all of them together!

Definitely recommend reading this book!

And if you've read it, let me know your thoughts!

Until next time x

See y'all soon with a new post!💜
