~My Services~

Hi y'all!
I hope you're doing good!
I know I have already mentioned this in my introduction post but I wanted to make a separate post for the services that I provide.
If you're an author, reader, someone who wants to be an author but doesn't know where to start, are stuck in a writers block, need help with story ideas, need opinion on your ideas or are someone who wants to learn Spanish, then please continue reading this post.
How I discovered my love for reading, writing, editing and proofreading.

Okay, adding this part while editing my post. I was reading the post and realized that I had mentioned about my Wattpad era in here. I, for some reason wanted to go check it out and see how it was doing lol. It took me a while to figure out my password and stuff and it randomly opened to one of my accounts where I had posted my romance fanfics which for some reason has like 16k views on it and people commenting, asking me to continue the story and the other one was a Zayn Malik fanfic.
But, I found my other account from there where I was posting more of short sci-fi, horror and fantasy stories. I found myself reading them at like 4am and was actually pretty impressed with myself. Even though I have an idea about what I was going to write, I kind of wish that I had written them all instead of leaving them half way because I was really getting into the story.
It also brought back the memories of that time (can't believe it's been a decade already). Like I read this one line I had written which said, 'popping the p' and I don't really think we use it anymore because I have read hundreds of novels recently and didn't see it anywhere. But for some reason I had only seen this slang in the One Direction fanfics and stuff at that time so it was a happy memory for me.
Honestly, I was surprised with whatever I wrote. I thought it was probably super bad but it was surprisingly creative. A few punctuation and formatting errors and super basic english but like I didn't know anything about editing at that time and probably didn't even care about it lol. I do definitely think that I was a lot more creative and good at writing stories back then than I am now because I have been beta reading for so long and the adult life is super depressing that I have probably forgotten how to enjoy reading and writing stories without being a critique hehe.
Anyway, moving on, I discovered my love for reading in grade 8 and right after that I started writing short stories and One Direction fan fictions. I made a One direction page on Instagram and used to write small fan fictions there but later moved on to Wattpad to write full fledged books lol.
Later, when I was in grade 10, I think, I read the Fifty Shades series and realized that what Ana was doing sounded like my dream job. Then I read the After series a few months later and once I read that Tessa was working in publishing, I knew for sure this time that this is something I want to do my whole life.
I started researching about editing and proofreading. My experience started with me editing and proofreading books for my friends who published them on Wattpad. Even though I was an average student in school, I loved how my friends liked the way I gave them ideas for their stories and edited and proofread for them. They were always so excited for me to work on their story and it gave me confidence that I had chosen the right path.
Slowly, as I felt more confident about my work, I decided to work for strangers from around the world as well.
Now, you might be confused why I wasn't that confident with my work before, right?
It's because like I mentioned before, I was an average student in school and my teachers and classmates used to pass shitty remarks about it. It's not like I didn't study, it's just that I used to get panic attacks before my exams and I used to mess everything up. Apparently marks mattered a lot because I got treated terribly for not getting good grades lol. My professors used to pass rude comments about me being dumb and how I wouldn't be able to get a job which took away all my confidence but guess who's sitting at home now and who's working?
Karma truly is a bitch😌
Anyway, that's a story for another time. But, then one day I was like fuck em all and decided to start freelancing, and as I continued working on improving myself and also focusing on writing, editing and proofreading in detail, I kept getting more and more positive reviews. My students got good grades in their Spanish classes and they kept telling me how I was a great teacher (Ngl, it still baffles me how I used to mess up my exams back then and how I am helping these kids get good grades and understand the language so easily now). Even though my self confidence was very low and I didn't believe my work was good enough, the compliments and the ratings helped me get it back.
I am now teaching students Spanish alongside freelancing.
I think sometimes you just need the right people to support you and help you discover your talent and strengths to help you gain everything back that you lost because of some insecure good for nothing humans who got nothing better to do than to mess around with people.

The prices mentioned for my gigs start at $5 USD and go up to $300USD but those are just for the basic gigs. The prices might increase or decrease depending on various factors. I have tried to lower them as much as I can because I know that there are a lot of stages before the book is published and the authors struggle to keep everything in their budget. But I gotta save money for my degree as well so I settled with this for now.
